Underwater Robotics at Arizona State

Robosub is a competition where we build Fully Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). Every year there is a new challenge that has tasks for the AUV to complete such as navigation of the environment, Target Acquisition, and Object manipulation. Find out more information about the competition at https://www.robonation.org/competition/robosub

The National Underwater Robotics Competition is a remotely controlled underwater robotics competition. It has challenges that change every year that we have to build a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to complete. The mission runs take place at night in order to more accurately simulate the light levels real ROVs operating in the ocean would experience. You can learn more about the competition at https://coachfredi.wixsite.com/nurc

MATE is a competition that gets a new challenge every year that simulates similar types of tasks that commercial ROVs would complete.Teams enter as if they were a business responding to a Request for Proposals related to the mission from that year. We have done this competition in the past but do not currently plan on entering it again in future years.
